We have knowldege and/or expertise in:
File manipulation and data parsing, population genetics/genomics, alignment and phylogenetic reconstruction, RADseq, genotype by sequencing (GBS), genome assembly, RNAseq, transcriptomics, functional and structural annotation, gene family evolution, and network analysis.
Further, we can help you/train you to demultiplex, run QC, trimming, and perform error correction on you Illumina or PacBio datasets.
Core contributions to the Wyoming research community fall into fall into three categories:
Use our knowledge of informatics tools to aid in experimental design & data generation (garbage in garbage out).
Train investigators in the acquisition and usage of informatics tools and interacting with the MtMoran resource on campus.
Develop novel workflows for specific ecological or evolutionary projects
Currently there are no monetary costs associated with our input; however, Wyoming INBRE does require acknowledgement in any resulting presentations or papers. Further, co-authorship for Core staff may be required dependent on the level of collaboration, intellectual input, or workload contribution. Co-authorship will be addressed on a case by case basis.
